The “Confronting the Challenges Facing Today’s Government Contracting Community” conference was co-hosted on October 3rd by The Center for Government Contracting from George Mason University (GMU) and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). The conference brought together over 100 professionals from government, industry, and academia to examine some of the major issues facing the community today in contracting, workforce management, and acquisition. VariQ’s CEO and founder, Ben Edson, participated as a panelist for the session addressing Small Business Policy Trends, in partnership with the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF).

Ben Edson has served since 2015 on the board of directors for Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) and is committed to small business mentoring. Ben stated, “Having graduated from a HUBZone Small Business to a mid-tier agile service delivery provider, at VariQ we understand the myriad challenges growing small businesses face. I am pleased at the opportunity “Confronting the Challenges” afforded to provide mentoring and share lessons learned to help small businesses expand their potential.”
