VariQ announced today that the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) awarded the company a contract with the SeaPort Next Generation (NxG) vehicle, tentatively scheduled to launch in January 2019. This multiple award (MAC), indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a five-year base period of performance with an additional five-year ordering period, and will be used to solicit and procure a wide range of support service requirements across the entire Department of the Navy. The Navy estimates it will procure approximately $5 billion of services per year, for a potential maximum value of $50 billion.

VariQ’s CEO, Ben Edson, commented, “We are pleased to continue to assist NAVSEA though the SeaPort Next Generation vehicle. We look forward to continuing to provide quality services to the Department of the Navy in the years to come.” SeaPort NxG is the Navy’s primary IDIQ for soliciting contractor support services spanning 23 functional areas within engineering and program management services.
