Thanks to each of you who stopped by VariQ’s booth at the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Public Sector Summit, held in Washington, D.C. on June 12-14. We had some great conversations and were glad to share with our current and prospective customers VariQ’s cloud capabilities and success stories.
Our most recent cloud migration project was deploying the DHS USCIS Verification Information System production workload to AWS. After eight months of preparation, Go-Live took place on June 16, 2017. After a 12-hour cutover, 700,000 employers and 1,100 government agencies were able to resume normal business operations at 7:00am on Saturday, June 17. The project was also mentioned by Sarah Fahden (Associate Chief, Verification Program, DHS, USCIS) in the AWS breakout session titled “How Public-Sector Customers are Transforming to Drive Innovation.” Check out the video here.
